Retired Apparatus
/ Equipment
This
section of our website features apparatus and equipment
previously owned and operated by us. Over the years we have had
the opportunity to utilize many wonderful trucks. As equipment
grows older, equipment maintenance costs increase and parts are
more difficult to find and to purchase. The needs of volunteer
departments are always changing as well, and some older
equipment's abilities are quickly outgrown. Below are pictures
of some of our older trucks that have previously served our
community with many many years of dedication and service.

This engine served as the
first due engine on the mainland side of our district during the time we
served both the Northeast Pender Fire District as well as the Town of
Surf City. When our new engine arrived in October 1998, this engine was
placed as second due until it was retired in October 2010.
This engine was originally owned by the City of Wilson as
Engine 3. It was refurbished in 1980. |

This truck served as our
Squad/Service Company since we acquired it in 1992. It was originally
owned by the Ogden-New Hanover Rescue Squad in Wilmington, NC. It served
our department for 18 years as an air and light units as well as to carry
additional equipment not carried on other trucks. |
